TRAVEL SHUI FOR JULY 2010
I know it’s summer and I know that I should be writing something Shui-y about taking luck along on the planes, trains or automobiles carrying you and yours to a local watering hole. But, when I started thinking about that first aforementioned form of transportation, I automatically stopped and then started thinking about all the ‘hidden’ costs involved with taking a plane anywhere these days. See, I travel pretty frequently for this job ‘o mine and it seems like every time I turn around one airline carrier or another is hiking fees for the opportunity to look out the airplane window or for carrying one’s own luggage on board and keeping it next to one’s own person on the way to one’s own destination. Seriously, just recently a major airline announced a new fee that will wangle an additional $45 bucks out of your pocket just so you can have your clothes close at hand.
Of course all this thinking about needing mo’ money to travel made this month’s tip a bit easier to offer than most:
The Money Collage
For this effort you’ll need to get a gold picture frame and a red background or some red matting onto which you will affix nine paper notes and an amount of coins that are divisible by three. Here’s what I usually recommend to my private clients. Take a gold frame and measure out some red construction paper that will fit inside it. (Believe me, we know from experience that making this Money Collage FIRST and then trying to find a frame to fit can lead to more frustration than cash sometimes!) Then, go to your Monopoly game, the one that’s crammed inside a closet somewhere, and get nine bills of the highest denomination fake money as you can find. Affix them, in any manner, to the red background. Next, take 27 coins and crazy glue them to the collage as well. This doesn’t need to look like anything when you are done OR you can add an additional dimension by drawing something like a tree and having the bills represent leaves and the coins could be buds of some sort. In this case, money does grow on trees eh? Anyway, once you have framed this piece then you should hang it somewhere in your WEALTH area of your main floor or bedroom (see www.ellenwhitehurst.com and hit the BAGUA link to determine where that area is.) Leave this collage in place for at least nine to 27 days. Or you can leave it there forever. The energy of prosperity will now come to visit you in some discernible well. And, well, now that there’ll be all this extra cash hanging around, it might not be the only thing traveling from your space if you know what I mean?
Go ahead and pay for that carry on. This extra cash will carry through! Promise!
