The fight against pollution in Kraków. As residents in the historic Polish city complain of coughs and nosebleeds a new ban on the burning of wood and coal in homes could have unprecedented repercussions for the country’s economy, and its health.

 

Danish innovations in water sector keep pollution at bay. In Denmark, tap water is as pure as spring water and the sea off city harbours are clean enough to swim in. How is that so?

 

S. Philadelphia refinery creates toxic air as well as jobs. The old refinery in South Philadelphia, formerly Sunoco, now Philadelphia Energy Solutions, is booming again, and so are complaints of air pollution.
