Stench of dead fish in Rio lake won’t spoil Olympic Games, officials hope. Fish keep washing up in area set to host rowing events for 2016 but while many cite lack of environmental management, others insist water will pose no risk.

Fishable? Swimmable? South Carolina waters in trouble. The water quality in the Charleston Harbor estuaries has been deteriorating for years, while the monitoring has fallen off and efforts to maintain it for fishing or swimming aren’t stopping the degradation.
