Environmental groups sue TVA, claiming toxic pollution seeping into Cumberland River. Two Tennessee environmental groups claim toxic pollution from a coal-burning power plant is seeping into the Cumberland River and state regulators are not doing enough to stop it.

 

Cities criticize California water cuts as unfair, unrealistic. Representatives of urban water suppliers and advocacy groups from across the state have criticized a plan from state water regulators that would force some to cut water consumption by as much as 35 percent.
