(Before It's News)

There’s little incentive for L.A. renters to take shorter showers. About 86% of apartment owners in L.A. who pay for their tenants’ water have seen usage increase or stay the same since April – when Gov. Jerry Brown ordered the statewide reduction in urban water use – according to a survey by the Apartment Assn. of Greater Los Angeles.

Years later, 7 Tulare County towns still wait for clean drinking water. In 2011, folks in northern Tulare County, California, were in an uproar about a project for seven communities where dangerous chemicals lurked in the well water. Four years later, the project still is years away from delivering water.
