At this year’s Games Developers Conference, Epic games gave us a glimpse of Unreal Engine 4. The new version of its hugely popular game engine and apparently the first game to use the Unreal Engine 4 will be developed by a relatively unknown UK based developers named Pitbull Studios.
The English studio which is headed by ex-Midway Newcastle’s Robert Troughton is working with Epic on a couple of projects. According to a post made by Francois Antoine (senior FX artist at Epic games) on linkedin, “Pitbull is working on Unreal Engine 4 with Epic Games, along with games derived from that and Unreal Engine 3.”
Pitbull studio was established in 2009. It consists of talented programmers who have worked on games like Need for Speed and Dust 514. Epic has revealed to joystiq, “Epic has a great history working with Pitbull Studio. We can count on them to provide reliable engineering resources, and they’re helping us prepare for the next generation of games.”
Meanwhile Epic has announced that gamers will get to see more of its upcoming engine at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo which will take place between 5th to 7th June at Los Angeles Convention Center.
