Bioshock: Infinite has had a rough ride so far as there have been several development issues reported with the game. Previously, many people had speculated that having multiplayer support in the game would have a negative effect on the overall productivity of Irrational Games, the developer of Bioshock: Infinite and today, the speculations have been proven true, as it has been confirmed by Ken Levine that the game will not feature multiplayer support.
The news was announced by Ken on social networking site Twitter, while conversing with a fan. The fan, (@that_don_101) inquired Levine about Bioshock: Infinite having multiplayer support, to which he said “Nope”. The user again asked the developer to get a clear answer, inquiring whether “Nope” means it won’t feature multiplayer mode altogether or whether he can’t comment on it right now, to which he tweeted “No multi”.
The confirmation coming from Ken himself is proof enough that Bioshock: Infinite will be a single player game only. Many fans will be disappointed to hear the news but we are happy as it will allow the developer to focus on one aspect of the game and deliver it in the best form.
Bioshock: Infinite is a forthcoming first-person shooter and the third title in the insanely popular BioShock series. The game is expected to be launched On February 26th, 2013 and will be available on Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
