(Before It's News)

I am watching one of the episodes named “The men that built America” The shame of this show is unconcionable. This television show perpetuates the untruths that Edison invented electricity as we know it.  HE DID NOT. Edison insisted on DC voltage which was known by the REAL inventor Nikola Testa to be an idiotic idea. Only AC voltage can be effectively transmitted to the whole of America cost effectively, however there was no mention of Nikola Tesla in the entire show, was there. Edison may have invented many things but when it came to the electricty that lights your lights and powers your computer Edison had NOTHING to do with it. He was TOTALLY AGAINST TESLAS IDEAS.

The show states that “Edisons model was the basis of how electricity is transmited today”  THAT IS A TOTAL LIE.

EDISON INSISTED ON DC VOLTAGE. TESLA INSISTED ON AC VOLTAGE. TESLA WAS ROBBED.

NIKOLA TESLA INVENTED ELECTRICITY AS WE KNOW AND USE IT PERIOD.

GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.

  • I’m watching it now and it’s talking about morgon backing Edison and westing house backing tesla and it states telsa’s ac power won the battle between ac vs dc.

  • The real difference was that DC could not be effectively transmitted very far without having power stations every few blocks or so. AC proved to be the way to go, and could be amplified at certain intervals to extend it even farther. As if THAT wasn’t enough, Tesla was only recently credited with inventing the RADIO, for which Marconi stole the credit. Tesla was the Rodney Dangerfield of inventors, who should have had a business manager. No telling what we would have today – free energy for one, which he demonstrated to George Westinghouse. So much for that.
