Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: Customer Store in Melbourne.
Helmed by Alex and Tim Britten-Finschi, the fraternal duo have taken their operations to the next level by opening a store in their hometown.
Dubbed Customer Store, it’s in fact a retail extension of the From Britten P/L Design and Sampling Studio. The aesthetics of the retail space are those of a lab and photography studio, and it’s in fact often used as such. The blue line on the wall, which has become a visual signature on the brand’s swing tags, bags, graphics and advertising, is inspired by painters’ masking tape. It has been teamed with pink paper to create the graphic. The clothes racks have been designed to be movable and the translucent walls are made from corrugated plastic that’s lit up from behind and acting as a canvas for showcasing products.
Customer Store oviously carries From Britten P/L’s collections in addition to rotating offerings by compatible Australian menswear brands, such as Christopher Esber, Pageant and Son for the Mute. Although this is Customer Store’s fixed location, it will pop-up at different places in the near future.
