Searches Are Getting Down To The Nitty Gritty

Hello my Techie friends,

Have you noticed as of late that the searches your plugging in for “questionable” materials aren’t returning the results you were seeking?  Well, I was browsing along the other day and stumbled upon a tidbit of info that brought some clarity to the matter.  Google has started introducing some new algorithms that are “saving” you from some of the information on the net.  While this may be good when  your kids are searching on the internet and have ambiguous search terms that may return results you don’t care for them to find, as informed responsible adults seeking some entertainment this can be a troubling venture.

After a great outcry from the user base that has adopted the Google search engine as their go to interface, such as I,  they have issued a statement regarding the lack of adult search results that may demystify the predicament:

We are not censoring any adult content, and want to show users exactly what they are looking for — but we aim not to show sexually-explicit results unless a user is specifically searching for them. We use algorithms to select the most relevant results for a given query. If you’re looking for adult content, you can find it without having to change the default setting — you just may need to be more explicit in your query if your search terms are potentially ambiguous. The image search settings now work the same way as in web search

So, while this may make it to where you need to add an extra search variable into your searches to return the “material” or “entertainment” you are seeking, I hope this little tidbit will aid in the fulfillment of what you are seeking and reduce the stress you may have encountered while digging for answers and wondering why Google has been less compliant then they were in the past.

Zachdroid…OUT!
