(Before It's News)

In a sea of gadgets and accessories, it’s somewhat hard to choose what to get someone who’s always updated with the latest gadgets and reads PTB a lot (ehem).

However, gifting to techie people need not be expensive. Here’s my top 5 list to give you an idea of what items you can get for your special techie someone without having to spend more than a pair of Ninoys.

1. Logitech M185/M187 Wireless Mouse (Php610)

Logitech M185 M187

Techies always have their laptop/netbooks around with them and we all know the luxury a mouse can bring as opposed to using a crimped touchpad on a netbook. The Logitech M187 is portable and at the same time, gives you wireless freedom. The M187 is as big as the palm of your hand, but if you think it’s too small, you can always opt for the M185 for the same price.

2. Divoom IFit-1 (Php950)

If you want to share your music and your phone/mp3 player’s loudspeaker isn’t loud enough, get the Divoom IFit-1 for P950.00. It’s bigger than the regular burger speakers but still portable enough to take with you everywhere you go and can go for about 6 hours in a single charge. The ingenious slide out tray offers a way to prop your media device in case you want to watch videos.

3. Corsair Voyager USB 3.0 Flash Drive 16GB (Php950)

Never settle for anything less than USB 3.0. In this day and age, data gets bigger and bigger everyday, which means longer transfer time. USB 3.0 has a transfer speed 10x faster than USB 2.0 and the Corsair Voyager is one of the bang-for-the-buck USB 3.0 Flash Drive that’s also made to last.

4. AKG K311 (Php750)

You can’t use the portable speaker above to listen to music while commuting in public, but these earbuds definitely will do your music collection justice. The AKG K311 is one of the best sounding earphones in this price range, manufactured by one of the leading tradename in the audiophile industry. Definitely delivers the best price/performance ratio if you’re hunting for a pair of on-ears.

5. Energizer XPal Powerpack XP2000 (Php900)

Having a techie friend means they have the a few gadgets with them at any given point in time. We all experienced the woe of having an empty battery before the day ends. The Energizer XPal is rated at 2,000mAh and has a wide array of ports for a number of mobile phones, tablets even. According to their website, the XP2000 can provide up to 12 hours of standby time to a “dumbphone” and 4 hours for a smartphone.

You could get these items in IT stores in malls but I suggest avoiding the hassle of braving the traffic and just look for these from online sellers in Sulit, TipidPC, or Multiply.
