Wombat Releases Security Awareness Report
Wombat Security Technologies (Wombat), a cyber security awareness and training solutions provider, today announced the availability of a new research report by Ira Winkler and Samantha Manke from Internet Security Advisors Group (ISAG) entitled the “Habits of Highly Successful Security Awareness Programs: A Cross-Company Comparison.” This new report is intended to help information security departments build effective security awareness and training programs with practical insights on how creative and interactive training methods can be used to increase participation and improve employee behavior modification rates.
“Many information security professionals charged with implementing security awareness programs struggle with outdated training approaches, internal opposition, lack of budget and loosely defined compliance guidelines,” said Joe Ferrara, President and CEO of Wombat. “Our goal in sponsoring this report was to enable a more practical discussion around how to effectively build and maintain a security awareness training program that not only meets compliance requirements, but changes user behavior and delivers measurable return on investment.”

Entrepreneur Teams with TrueFit to Develop Original Photo-Sharing App
TrueFit, a leading innovation firm which helps startups and enterprise-level companies bring new technology products to market, and Christopher Norton, a Canadian-based entrepreneur, today announced the launch of the Quote-a-Pix app for iPhone and iPad.
“While analyzing the caption app market, there was a void with respect to commentary’ caption options,” said Norton. “There were several caption-type apps, yet nothing that would provide captions from a unique perspective…Often, people have fun speculating how their baby, children or pets would describe a situation. With Quote-a-Pix, they can express and share those perspectives in a simple and fun way.”
The app enables users to personalize photos with captions and by stacking multiple photos in the Quote-a-Pix photo editor. Users can then share their customized photos and quotes from the app via email, Facebook and Twitter.
“In the case of the Quote-a-Pix app, the entrepreneur came to TrueFit with an idea practically on the back of a cocktail napkin,” said Christopher R. Evans, TrueFit Vice President. “Our team was able to help him further form the idea, develop the technology, and plan for future iterations of the app. We love working with entrepreneurs and have a unique ability to get them exactly where they need to be.”
