Report: Microsoft Has Sold 1.5 Million Surface Tablets

A new report claims Microsoft has now sold almost 1.5 million Surface tablets, with Surface Pro sales jumping up to 400,000 in just one month
Citing three people “with knowledge of the company’s sales”, Bloomberg reports Steve Ballmer’s firm has sold a little more than 1 million Surface RT tablets since its launch in October and 400,000 Surface Pros.
The figures indicate that demand is higher for the Surface Pro, which runs full-fat Windows 8 and is therefore compatible with existing Windows apps. However, Microsoft has more than just a few Surface RTs stuck in re-seller warehouses. Sources say the company has ordered 3 million of the ARM-powered tablets.
