I’ve been reading articles about this technology and the Navy has already started rolling it out last year. Good report though!!
Old news. I’m also more interested in the rail gun prototype that is supposed to be in service by 2016.
Of course the rail gun is old news too, since everyone knows they have been developing that for years. But it should be interesting, weapons and war technology almost always in the end brings more potential applications in the real world as well. Still hoping anti gravity gets pushed out as being officially worked on soon so we can start seeing some real advances in areal transportation and space flight as well.
