    :roll: :roll: :roll: This should not just be your back up plan, it should be the way you live your life every day.
    If you can afford it, add a vacuum packer with the mason jar & zip lock storage bags options to your canning and jarring kit. It keeps food long, fresher, stores easy,recyclable, and left overs keep longer. Your food bill goes down greatly and that money can be put to better use.
