“It’s beautiful,” said Michelle Power producer and director for a Cabaret show in Chicago called “Beast Women,” about the Shen Yun performance. “The beauty and the pageantry of it is just simply amazing, I’m very impressed.”
According to the company’s website, Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of Chinese culture with performances filled with stories, virtues, and fascinating details that weave from ancient times all the way to the present.
“It’s truly enjoyable,” said Ms. Power, “I’ve done theater most of my life and it’s all about expressing ones-selves and telling a certain story on stage and you definitely see that with this production.”
[topic]“The choreography is amazing.” said Ms. Power. “The dancing is so physical I can’t believe the movements and the training that must be involved for all of these performers. It’s simply beautiful, beautiful to watch.”

Later he befriends a women who starts to practice Falun Gong, soon banned in China. When the police start to beat up the Falun Gong practitioners, the policeman is soon face-to-face with is old friend and then must make the choice of which side he will stand on.
Ms. Powers also commented on the collection of short pieces in Shen Yun that make audiences travel from the legends of the culture’s creation over 5,000 years ago through to the story of Falun Gong in China today.
“It’s beautiful, it’s sort of like a storybook come to life, it’s amazing,” she said.
