COLUMBUS, Ohio—A world traveler, German-born Handke has enjoyed culture and food across the globe. But this time culture came to him. He and his wife Margaret partook of Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company at their performance at the Ohio Theatre.
“It’s excellent, I am enjoying it very much,” said Hartmut Handke during intermission Friday, April 27.
New York-based Shen Yun aims to restore China’s traditional values and culture through dance and song and bring that tradition to the world.
Named “the world’s winningest competition chef” by columbuschef.com, Mr. Handke is now retired. He and his wife owned Handke’s Cuisine, a world class restaurant in Columbus, for 17 years.
“Very, very, very nice and very colorful also very artistic, and the dance was excellent,” Mr. Handke said.
Mrs. Margaret Handke enjoyed the show very much as well, mentioning the tradition the performance showcased.
