I've seen Camille and Rico (her boyfriend and baby-daddy) and offered them some clothes from when Gerick and I were in our mid-20s that just aren't quite fitting or age appropriate anymore– goth shirts and a velvet goth dress. We cemented some plans and promised to be on our way by 6:30 am at the latest, so as to reach Faerieworlds by 9:30 when they open up to weekend campers.
I have most of my clothes figured out. I have my special prop ready to go (I forgot it last year) — a little cage with a flying fairy and an imp inside for me to carry around (yes, there will be pics!) All I have to do is get my BODY ready. I'm dying my hair bright orange (semi-permanent color which will only last through the summer) for starters.
Excited, but also nervous. Why am I nervous? That's a little weird.
GLO-STICKS. Can't forget those. I can even weave them around my fairy-cage at night. Yeah….
The weather will be between 76 and 80 degree F, which is perfect. Not too hot to be active and dress up like most years in the past. Warm enough to relax and enjoy. Won't have to bundle up until after dark (and we bring layers for that.)
Gerick made a couple of werewolf masks that look like actual wolf heads (yes, pics, I know!) and black capes, plus a shorter red cape for “Red Riding Hood” which Tess is going to fulfill along with her signature outfits.
This will be fun. HEE!
Later Edit: Okay– a teaser pic to help you imagine my weekend! Here we have my 'Cage O' Faeries'! The winged sprite is named Eelie, and the pixie at the bottom is Piko, sitting on his tortoise pal, Button. Yes– of course I have back stories!
