In the first half the Rams’ defense has led the way. Offensive stats are pretty even for both squads, except the Rams defense has kept the Bucs out of the end zone. The Bucs were able to create 2 extended drives, but in both they were forced to settle for field goals. The Rams offense started out sluggish as usual. It was the Rams defense who put their first points on the board. Jankoris Jenkins picked off Bucs QB Freeman at 11:46 remaining in the 2nd quarter and ran it in for a pick 6. The Rams offense scored a 2nd TD in the quarter and this was set up by a James Laurinaitis interception. On the proceeding drive the Rams go 65 yards on 8 plays. The drive culminated in a 13 yard TD pass to Lance Kendricks. At the half the score is Rams 14, Bucs 6. The Rams are starting to play well on both sides of the ball. Let’s hope they can build on their lead going into the 2nd half of the game. Go Rams!
