Witness Statement: The girlfriend and I were travelling back from Bath when I spotted what I thought was a plane above a field. I glanced the first time and thought nothing of it…out in the countryside, nothing around but fields and the odd occasional tree here and there, it was a normal sunny day, but when I looked over the second time I realized this plane wasn’t moving, it was hovering. As I kepted staring at this thing I could see the sun beaming off the side of it, it was completely silver, no paint marks or logo’s, silvery like really clean sheet metal and it wasn’t plane shaped. There were no wings or fin like tail end, no propeller on top which instantly ruled out a helicopter. This thing looked exactly like a frisbee at eye level so you couldn’t see the top or the bottom of this vehicle.
Unfortunately I had stupidly not charged my phone in the hotel so I couldn’t grab a pic but I did managed to get the specific longitude and latitude information from the girlfriends I-Phone…before you ask, her phone was plugged into the car as we were using it as a sat nav so I couldn’t grab hers quick enough to take the pic. But I hoping someone could put an answer as to what I might have seen. I saw it for about two minutes (which is actually a fairly long time just staring at this thing!) before my view was disrupted by those country lane road side bushes. Cheers.
Latitude – 51° 7’51.34″N
Longitude – 2° 9’12.19″W
Travelling South down the A350, just past Lord’s Hill, roughly 750-800 yards out.
