Witness Statement: I went into the garden for a cigarette and looked up at the stars as i alwaysdo. I saw what i thought to be a satelite, it was traveling too fast though, it accelerated with a flash resembling light passing across a mirror and the whole time it was quite obviously not following a normal orbit. The dot flashed three times and appeared to rise away from the earth as if it were accending. I have seen something similar before with friends in the late evening on a clear night (speculation between us overtook the desire to accurately document the episode) but there were no flashes.
