Pterosaur Sighting In North Carolina, Jan. 3, 2013

I received an email from a gentleman in North Carolina, who had an amazing experience to share. Here is his unedited report.:

Charlotte, North Carolina
I can’t believe what I just saw @ around 930 this morning. I can only describe its? ? as a dragon or flying dinosaur. I was coming home from the store. As I turned into my neighbor I saw this large dark colored flying animal. At first i thought it was a volture. However, I notice that it had pointed wings and a long tail that was skinny and had a pointed shape at the end of it like a triangle or something the creature appeared to have something in its mouth. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and it I lost sight of it as it passed over the trees. It took me a minute to try and figure out what it was that I saw and the only thing I could think of it the time was to call my wife and to try and turn the car around to see if I could find it again and try capture a picture of it. I don’t know what it was that I saw but I hope I see it again and have enough time to get my phone out to videotape it. Has anybody else in this area reported scene anything like this? I’m in Charlotte North Carolina.
Im still in shock & I hope I see it again because I will be ready the next time. I still can’t believe what I saw but no one can make me disbelieve it. I dont drink, smoke, or do drugs. I was very alert as I witnessed it. Please feel free to keep me posted on any new sightings in the area. Especially if someone captures it on photo or film.

NOTE:
I spoke again with the witness through email. He said that the weather was cloudy, in the 40s (F) and he too wondered how a supposedly cold blooded creature could be flying on such a day. Perhaps they aren’t cold blooded after all?
The earliest vertebrates known to have evolved powered flight, were the Pterosaurs (winged lizards). Their wings were a membrane of skin, muscle, and tissues stretching from the ankles to a lengthened fourth finger. It has been determined that early species had long, fully toothed jaws and long tails, while later forms had much shorter tails, or almost none at all. Also, some of the later species lacked teeth.
The best known are the Pterodactylus, that lived 220 to 65 million years ago. Some believe they still exist and I am beginning to agree. Are people actually seeing Pterosaurs? Well, people are definitely seeing something and they have been given a name, Ropen.
I suspect Pterosaurs are much like vultures, eating mostly carrion but like pelicans, they probably eat fish scooped up from the water in their large bills. Also, like most predatory “birds”, they would likely be opportunists. In other words, they will go after anything small enough to fit in their mouths, a dog, a cat, a child…
It’s said that in Papua New Guinea, Ropens glow with a bio-luminescence and eat more than fish and clams. They’ve been see to carry off both living and dead humans.

There is a possibility of a breeding population, or perhaps they are from another dimension, crossing over into our world in search of food? I lean more towards creatures existing in this world, living and surviving, mostly hidden from our sight.
Between Pterosaurs and sightings of small T-Rex-type creatures (the Four Corners area where Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico meet), it’s beginning to sound like “Jurassic Park” has run amok!
