There is two Hurricanes and one Tropical Storm in today’s report. Hurricane Rafael in the Atlantic will hit Bermuda but pose no threat to the US Eastern Seaboard. Hurricane Paul in the Pacific on the other hand will make land fall at Baja California, Mexico and will produce some rain for the southwest. Tropical Storm Prapiroon is in the Western Pacific and passing and will hit Okinawa, Japan causing our military some minor disruptions in operations.
The Precipitation Forecast is showing that the mid west should be receiving about 1 – 2 inches of rain in the next few days
The US Wildland Fire Preparedness Level has decreased to a Level 1. : Minimal large fire activity nationally. Most Geographic Areas have low to moderate fire danger. There is little or no commitment of national resources. Currently there are 8 large fires burning in CO, ID, MN, NV and AZ.
