San Antonio, TX Flooding, is still ongoing. More heavy rain has moved into this area and flood gauges are again showing major flooding. The good news is this tropical system is not expected to last very long and rivers should be returning to normal by this weekend. Space Weather. The activity on the sun has not diminished. Currently there are at least 7 Active Regions (AR) facing earth, with AR1884 having a “Beta-Gamma-Delta” class magnetic field that harbors energy for X-Class flares. NOAA Forecasts have increased M-Class flare chances to 50% today and 10% chance of X-Class Flares. A CME is due to hit earth today causing a minor Geomagnetic storm. Earthquake (Taiwan 6.6) This occurred this morning and currently we are monitoring for casualty reports. The epicenter of the quake was in a very remote part of the island and damage assessment could take some time. There was no immediate damage assessment available.
