Fort Smith, AR -(Ammoland.com)- The U.S. Marshals Museum today thanked its supporters for helping make the U.S. Marshals Stampede: Kickin’ Up the Dust gala a success.
Led by co-chairmen Mary Carleton and Robert Young and Kathy and Doug Babb, the event drew more than 700 guests and 50 volunteers and raised over $250,000 in net proceeds for the U.S. Marshals Museum.
“Thank you to our amazing co-chairmen for spearheading this effort. They worked around the clock to bring this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime event here to Fort Smith,” said Jim Dunn, president and CEO of the U.S. Marshals Museum. “I’d also like to thank the Fort Smith community, as well as our statewide and national supporters, who have been instrumental in helping us raise the funds to get this museum built.”

The future U.S. Marshals Museum will be a national, as well as world-class, museum located on the banks of the Arkansas River in Fort Smith, Ark. Museum plans include 50,000 square feet of three galleries (A Changing Nation, Frontier Marshals and Marshals Today), the Samuel M. Sicard Hall of Honor, a National Learning Center and more. The museum will highlight pivotal periods in our nation’s history, while honoring the sacrifice and service of the men and women of the U.S. Marshals Service.
