China ‘aims 1,500 missiles at US military & Updates regarding the Koreas & more news!

From The Jerusalem Center
Rex Tillerson’s Warnings to North Korea Reached the Middle East
The failure of past international diplomacy over North Korea became apparent when its Agreed Framework with the US collapsed and North Korea went ahead with atomic tests. On October 14, 2006, the US Security Council adopted Resolution 1718 condemning North Korean nuclear tests and calling for a moratorium on missile launches. Both the tests and the missile launches continued. North Korea has been one of the critical sources for missile technology for the Iranian missile program. The firmer US position on North Korea could thus also contribute to Middle Eastern security and not just the security of Northeast Asia.

Ambassador Dore Gold has served as President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs since 2000. From June 2015 until October 2016 he served as Director-General of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Previously he served as Foreign Policy Advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN (1997-1999), and as an advisor to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

China ‘aims 1,500 missiles at US military bases’ as war boss threatens to ‘SHOOT’ enemies

CHINA has parked an arsenal of missiles within strike range of US army bases as its war chiefs ready “military hard power” for total conflict.

Military bosses from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) are aiming the firepower at Taiwan as part of an escalating military threat to the island.

US military bases in Okinawa are within range of the DF-16 ballistic missiles – which can hit targets with “pinpoint precision” from 1,500km away.

Chinese defence minister Feng Shih-kuan issued the shock announcement as tensions over the disputed South China Sea territory threaten to spill over into war.

His comments come after Taiwan revealed it has missiles capable of reaching Chinese shores last week.

Speaking to lawmakers on Monday Feng said the missiles will bolster the “weapons modernization and military hard power” of China.

The minister did not reveal how many missiles had been deployed or where.

But Taiwan claim China is targeting the island with around 1,500 missiles. READ MORE/SOURCE
