How Is It? Not Many Have Heard of the First Man Killed in WWII?

Why were you not taught about William “Billy” Meade Lindsley Fiske III? He was the first American killed in combat in WWII. His early years were so amazing.

In a tribute to a true war hero who could have bailed out of his burning plane but chose to  save the plane sacrificing himself. Everyone knows of Pat Tillman, a professional football player, who gave up fame and fortune to die in a futile cause. But why is it not many have heard of Billy Fiske?
