““War is Deception” comes to mind when reading any story about activities carried out on the ‘other side’ in any conflict. This is largely because ‘the other side’ is made up ‘bad guys’ who are not even human (slants, gooks) and who will eat babies for breakfast if that’s what it takes to get ‘our side’ on the side of Right, sorry, Might.
Sarin is a colorless, odorless liquid gas which causes respiratory arrest and death. The poisonous agent has been classified as a weapon of mass destruction in UN Resolution 687.
Symptoms of overexposure may occur within minutes or hours, depending upon the dose. They include: miosis (constriction of pupils) and visual effects, headaches and pressure sensation, runny nose and nasal congestion, salivation, tightness in the chest, nausea, vomiting, giddiness, anxiety, difficulty in thinking, difficulty sleeping, nightmares, muscle twitches, tremors, weakness, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, involuntary urination and defecation, with severe exposure symptoms progressing to convulsions and respiratory failure.
The foreign-backed militants in Syria have repeatedly threatened to use such weapons.
A video released last December showed them testing chemical agents on lab rabbits and threatening to kill pro-government Syrians.
On May 5, the UN Independent Commission of Inquiry on Syria said it found testimony from victims and medical staff that showed foreign-backed militants had used the nerve agent in Syria.
