Saturday morning’s lows were the coldest readings (at the airport) that we’ve felt since late April, when we fell to 27 degrees. That widespread frost and hard freeze essentially put an end do the growing season.

However, a strong warm front swinging through Saturday night will bump our temperatures into the low 60s by Sunday  morning, then into the 70s during the afternoon. While we do run the risk of a few showers, the bulk of the rain will already have lifted to the north of us.

As is typical of October in WNY, we will be riding the temperature roller-coaster daily, along with several windy days. So, while the foliage is at its peak in many spots, the leaves will try to hang onto the trees!
