All over California (except Southern) will receive multiple storm events within the next 7 days.  The first storm in the series is due on Thursday, aiming just North of the San Francisco Bay area, with the most rainfall through the Sacramento Valley.  A front will drag through Southern California Thursday into Thursday night, bringing another round of precipitation there.  Amounts will be light, so no dent on the drought down there expected.  The final event hits over this next week., which should promise to aim the atmospheric river ‘fire hose’ at Central and Northern California.  Some areas will see over 4″ of rainfall with this system.

Although not a drought buster, this should help replenish the parched ground in some spots.

The mountains should get beneficial snows, with the series seeing over 2-3 feet of snow in spots , maybe a foot or more for Mammoth Mountain.
