Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has already faced ridicule for cruising through important primary states in a conversion van nicknamed ‘Scooby.’
The vehicle was also a central theme in recent reports of a high-speed tour through New Hampshire as Clinton shuttled from one campaign stop to another. As the U.K. Daily Mail indicated, she arrived in the state Monday for one official appearance, leaving that location to catch up with local donors in a series of more personal visits.
En route, her motorcade hit speeds of 92 miles per hour – in a rainstorm – along roadways with a maximum speed limit of 65. Reporters struggled to keep up with the speeding candidate and her handlers, reports confirmed, as the disregard for posted speed limits continued throughout the day.
Upon the completion of her breakneck commute to one scheduled stop in Claremont, reporters shared the theme of her comments to the audience of Democrat insiders. The millionaire candidate addressed the group with a populist message denigrating the wealthiest among us – a group in which she, by all measures, belongs.
“The deck is stacked in their favor,” she reportedly said. “My job is to reshuffle the cards.”
Her comments sparked reports that she plans to attack the top one percent of earners in America if elected president. They also came on the heels of an upcoming tell-all book by Peter Schweizer that early reviews predict will throw a monkey wrench into the fledgling Clinton candidacy.
Given the criticism she has already received since announcing her intention to seek the White House, reports of speeding might not be the most damning; however, they did not go unnoticed by her social media detractors.
“Hillary’s Scooby van zips across NH like a Japanese mag-lev train,” one user wrote, “but will she get speeding ticket? NO! Speed limits are for little people.”
Does Hillary act like she is above the law? Sound off in the comments section below.
