Teacher Retires 2 Years Shy of Pension: Learn Why.

Gerald Conti spent 27 years working at the same high school in the same school district, only to give his notice of retirement 2 years shy of his full pension benefits.  Why?  Was he injured?  No.  Did he suffer a mental breakdown?  No.  Did he do something wrong?  No.

The reason for his decision to quit working for public education is quite simple; he says it is because the education profession has left him.  Mr. Conti has published his resignation letter on the web for all to see.  Here is the link, so you can read it for yourself.

As a former teacher in the US public school system myself, I concur with Mr. Conti and laud his courage in making this difficult decision in this uncertain economy.
