Word 2010 includes a mini-translator that is great for quickly translating individual words and short phrases. However, what if you need to translate an entire document? You could translate it piece by piece using the mini-translator, however, that’s not very efficient.

Instead use the Translate Document tool in Word’s Translate list. This option uses an online service to translate the document, according to the language settings you entered in the Translation Language Options dialog box. Simply click Send and view the translation online. An important point to keep in mind is that the file is at risk because the transmission to the online service is not secure so your document may be seen by others. If you’re translating confidential information, you’ll likely want to look at a different option.
