World’s Slimmest 4G Smartphone Micromax Canvas Silver 5 Launched in India
Micromax, the leading smartphone maker has launched another 4G smartphone Canvas Silver 5 into its premium range of devices. Claiming it as the Slimmest and lightest smartphone, the company launched this phone at an event held in Delhi. After its first ever 4G smartphone Canvas Knight 2, this is the second hit by Micromax in the 4G arena.
In terms of build quality, Canvas Silver 5 looks like a will built and proficiently designed smartphone. With mere 5.1mm thickness and 97 grams of weight, it flaunts a great look for smartphone users. The Chief Executive Officer of Micromax, Vineet Taneja claimed it as the lightest as well as the slimmest phone ever.
On the specifications front, Canvas Silver 5 offers a nice package with its 4.8-inch AMOLED display, powered by a quad core Snapdragon 410 chipset clubbed with 2GB of RAM. As of now, the display resolution of this device hasn’t been revealed by the company, but it does run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the box.
In the camera department, Canvas Silver 5 flaunts an 8 megapixel rear shooter with Sony IMX219 and CMOS sensor, and Blue glass filter, while the front-facing camera packed with this device is a 5-megapixel snapper. The available on-board storage is limited to 16 gigs, and it is not expandable via external microSD card.
One the main things of about Canvas Silver 5 is the lack of Dual-sim connectivity. The smartphone features with a single sim slot with LTE connectivity. The overall performance of this device is backed by a long-lasting battery of 2000mAh offering sufficient charge for an entire day. The build, design and finish of this device is really good, plus it also comes with Dirac HD sound for clearer music experience with deeper bass.
Canvas Silver 5 will be hitting the shelves at a price tag of Rs. 17,999 via online as well as offline retail stores. The device will be coming with bundled offers from Airtel such as, double 4G data for a period of 3 months.
Moreover, in a struggle to improve its service experience, Micromax has initiated a new system under which Micromax users can contact customer support via call or web based tools. Once the issue is raised by customer, Micromax service representatives will pick the smartphone right from his doorstep and return it within a period of 7 days!
