According to officials, Indian software and hardware industries are partnering to bring Digital India initiative into existence. This partnership between software and hardware industries will energize Electronic system Design and Manufacturing Industry and IT landscape to a whole new level. In fact, it will drive India amongst strongest economies in the world in next 10 years.
The partnership between National Association of Software and Service Companies and India Electronics and Semiconductor Association will be playing a crucial role in diversifying the IT and ESDM scenario in the next 10 years. The chairman of IESA, Vinay Shenoy commented, “The partnership will enable us to draw a common agenda to guide the industry and the government, frame policies and build an ecosystem for developing ESDM (hardware) and IT (software) products, solutions and brands.”
Technology is progressing at a great speed. From traditional sources of communication to the new Internet of Things (IoT), the world of information Technology has changed a lot. With a worth of $120-billion, the IT industry of India has come up as a global leader in delivering quality software and IT services. ESDM market, on the other hand, has grown to almost $94-billion this year.
The chairman further added that, the complimentary strength of software and hardware industries offer huge support for economic development, and will also reduce foreign exchange outgo in next 10 years.
In order to create a Digital India for “Vision 2025”, Nasscom and IESA will combine their electronic, computing and communications strengths, and deliver a perfect solution for catering industry demands. By joining hands, these two industries will be able to create a whole new world based on Information Technology.
R. Chandrasekhar, the president of Nasscom highlighted the strength of India’s IT sector and claimed that India had evolved into a global powerhouse for delivering quality software services all across the globe.
In addition to this, the former Telecom secretary said, “In recognition of the transformative impact of IT on the economy and the government’s vision of ‘Make in India’, we believe there is an equal opportunity for India to win the next wave of electronics design led manufacturing.” It was also mentioned that the partners will be coming together with essential stakeholders, investment community and government academia to research the entire work field and develop a perfect environment for meeting local as well as global market requirements.
