This Wednesday, popular smartphone maker Vivo launched its latest X5 Pro smartphone at an enticing price tag of Rs. 27,980. The feature-rich 4G smartphone has been rolling in the Chinese market since mid-May, and is now set to hit the Indian market from 15th August 2015. Along with X5 Pro, Vivo has also unveiled the prices of Vivo V1 and Vivo V1 Max launched earlier this month. The former will come at a price of Rs. 17,980, while the latter one has been priced at Rs. 21,980.
The dual-sim Vivo X5 Pro comes with a nice set of specs, but its major highlight is the eye scanning technology equipped for protecting the device as well as data stored on it. This feature is really tempting, but the sad part is, the Indian model of Vivo X5 Pro will not be coming with it. It will flaunt a beautiful design language with mere 6.44mm thickness, and will offer top-grade specifications with the version of Android.
In terms of specs, Vivo X5 Pro runs the latest iteration of Android with company’s Funtouch OS 3.0 atop, and features a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display, equipped with 2.5D glass technology and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. It has been powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz, and has been clubbed with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU to deliver extremely smooth and glitch free performance. The built-in memory packed with this phone is 16 gigs, and is expandable by up to 128 gigs via external microSD card.
The camera capabilities of Vivo X5 Pro is also a big highlight. It sports a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for producing quality images under different conditions. The rear camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, while front-facing camera can interject multiple images, and bump up the resolution by up to 32-megapixels.
On the connectivity front, the dual-sim Vivo X5 Pro comes with a rich set of options such as, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microUSB. It comes with a DAC AK4375 chip for hi-fidelity audio, dedicated 3.5mm audio jack, and is perfectly backed by a long-lasting battery of 2450mAh.
