Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL Launch Scheduled For October 10th
According to reports, Microsoft will be launching its latest flagships Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL on October 10. Codenamed as Talkman and Cityman, the first-ever Windows 10 mobile based smartphones are expected to show up with an incredible set of specs. They’ve been surrounded by rumors since months, and are now once again hitting the rumor mill with an expected launch date for next month. The report came via popular tipster, Evan Blass aka @evleaks.
In last few months, we’ve seen some accurate predictions from Evan Blass, and this time around, he has claimed that Microsoft is planning to launch Windows 10 Mobile based Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL on October 10th. He further added that the new devices will not boast rumored metallic bodies, and will feature the same old-school polycarbonate shells in a bunch of colors options
Not only Windows 10, Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL are also speculated to bring some major upgrades over their predecessors. A bunch of sources have reported that the two phones will be boasting top-of-the line specs with prolific camera capabilities. Microsoft Lumia 950 is said to feature a 5.2-inch Quad-HD screen, powered by Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and its elder sibling Lumia 950 XL is said to sport a bigger 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, powered with Snapdragon 810 chip coupled with same 3GB of RAM. Both phones is expected to showcase an excellent camera setup with a superb 21MP rear and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
As of now, Blass has been quite about Microsoft refreshing its product range with a new surface tablet or fitness tracker. The company is expected to bring a plethora of devices next month, but still there is no word from any reliable source!
Except for a few good things, Windows Phone OS has been losing constantly against Android and iOS. The company has given best of its efforts, but is still lagging behind two renowned tech-giants in smartphone industry. That said, we can accept the fact Microsoft Lumia 950 will play a significant part in deciding the future of company’s slick operating system. Windows 10 Mobile is expected to bring some major upgrades over its predecessor, but as of now, nothing is confirmed officially!
