After a long and tempting wait, the prolific Gionee Marathon M5 Plus has been unleashed in India. The handset, after showing up in China back in December, took a little longer to debut in the Indian market. It surfaced in a slew of rumours, but now, the wait is finally over and the beast is up for grabs for Rs. 26,999.
As the name suggests, Marathon M5 Plus comes with a big 5020 mAh battery. Though it delivers sufficient juice for work and play, the on-paper is capacity looks a little weaker than what original Marathon M5 had on offer. But, the company clearly touts this small yet ideally optimized battery endows enhanced backup and retains 90% of its original capacity, even after 600 charging cycles. This translates into almost 2-year of usage with a mix of moderate and heavy needs!

Other elements on Gionee Marathon M5 Plus include a beautifully crafted 6-inch full-HD AMOLED display, featuring 368 pixels per inch. It endows an impeccable visual experience, and is equally well-supported by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor running at 1.3Ghz, with 3GB of RAM and 64GB built-in-storage. The handset also includes an option for storage expansion up to 128 gigs via microSD card.
Gionee has crafted this device with complete perfection.
