Homs. URGENT APPEAL. According to an eyewitness on al-Jazeera, 13 people died overnight in Homs, one of them is an 11-year old boy named Qassem Zuhair al-Ahmad, as a result of the heavy fire and tanks storming the city. Several homes have been destroyed in Bab Amro region from tank shells. One Syrian on Facebook expressed it succinctly by saying: As a result of Syrian (Not Israeli) bombardment. All residents of the Sunni areas in Homs have been cut-off from the world as well as power and water. No trains are allowed into the city and many have been stopped and forced to return half-way. Bombing the city is still on-going.
Banias. URGENT APPEAL. Some young men were able to escape the city and have reported inhuman conditions imposed on its residents. There is no water to drink, its people cannot leave their home, Bodies litter the streets and any one gets closer to remove them is immediately shot. and snipers immediately shot. Bus loads of detainees since yesterday as security men raid homes and detain anyone suspected of demonstrating. The city is under heavy siege.
Facebook. It removed the Electronic Syrian Army page because of its violent approach to the events (Mostly controlled by Assad’s thugs).
Dara’a. Some families and tribes used to quarrel and fight each other during prior to the Revolution but ever since, they all have united against Assad. That’s one of the biggest dangers Assad faces expressed in the unity of the Syrians against his rule.
The Golan Heights. Some 200 Syrian soldiers have been re-positioned in Nawa and Jassem. What do Syrians see? Instead of fighting the Israelis, Assad is fighting them.
