Apple fans brave cold temperatures to line up outside an Apple store in Washington to get their hands on the new iPad mini, but the device attracted smaller crowds than at the company's previous global rollouts. The almost 8-inch tablet is a bit more pricey than rival gadgets, which could explain the small crowd compared to previous Apple launches. [Gabriel Perez Florentino, Apple Customer]: “I am from Brazil, we took a big trip, me and my father to come here to the launch. We got very excited when we heard about it and it's – I am an Apple addict, I buy every product they launch and it's very good to be here.” When Hurricane Sandy delayed this tourist's flight back to the Philippines, she took advantage of the delay get the mini before her compatriots.
