Full Story: Ramat Gan Safari Park had reason to celebrate on Wednesday, after a string of new babies made valuable additions to two critically endangered macaque species. The Israeli zoological park welcomed two new lion-tailed macaque babies and a black macaque infant to their captive populations. [Gali Berkovich, Animal Trainer] “There is only 4000 individuals left in the wild with the lion-tailed macaque, so every birth that we have in the world is, especially here at the safari park is a big reason to celebrate.” The two new babies, held very tightly by their mothers, looked to explore their new environments. Clinging to the enclosures' bars and chewing on rope, the youngsters gazed out at the onlookers watching them.
