No Fear

Overall, this was not a bad week for US stocks, finishing up about 2%, and having their best week since March. In the clip below, Peter gives his take on what’s really happening, and what the future holds. It seems pretty obvious the Fed won’t be raising interest rates for at least September, but I have no problem going on recording standing by my previous statements that this economy is SO close to complete collapse the moment any one of these bubbles finally does pop, so there isn’t a chance in hell the Fed will even THINK about raising rates ANYTIME before June AT BEST. Personally, I strongly suspect the economy will be in even worse shape in June than it is right now (or if not “worse” shape, at least people will finally be AWARE of how bad things are), so even June might be pushing it. Peter talks about how the Fed is unlikely to raises rates next year for two reasons: 1) If they raise them, and the economy goes south, they are gong to get a lot of egg on their face by having to lower them again; AND 2) It’s a Presidential race, so that can’t do anything too late as the election draws near.

Peter reports that the big number that missed expectations this week, was the Wholesale Trade Number. It was expected that inventories would go up by .3% which would have been a positive for GDP, but instead inventories went down by .1%. Sales on the other hand, went down by .3%, which was a bigger drop than inventories rose. To put that in perspective, there has only been one other time in history that the inventory to sales ratio has been this high, and that was in 2001, when we were also in a bad recession. .

What’s so funny, is how easy the Fed can bluff the American people. Don’t be surprised to see QE4 at some point. Why? Because if QE1, QE2, and QE3 had worked (like we’re told they did), then the Fed COULD raise rates. this is such a BOGUS economy. Sue, the unemployment rate is “down” yet again to 5.1% says team Obama. Why then, did claims for welfare go up? A booming economy and increasing welfare don’t go together. DUH! The Fed knows that, and anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention should be able to see this. At about the 15 minute mark, Peter goes classic Peter Schiff, because he’s clearly baffled by how hardly anyone else is able to see what is SO obvious… but they don’t… and it’s so sad.

As always, I encourage you to hear what Peter has to say. He even touches briefly on the issue of what happens if all our debt holders begin dumping their U.S. treasuries, which we all know would be instant death to the U.S. Keep your seatbelt fastened folks, because there is plenty of turbulence ahead

Below, Michael Snyder of the Economic Collapse Blog has an awesome take on things:

We are not “spreading fear” at all.  We are spreading hope.  There is hope in understanding what is happening and there is hope in getting prepared.

The preparations that are being made right now all over the nation are going to save countless numbers of lives.  Those that are mocking preppers and that are telling everyone that everything is going to be just fine are going to deeply regret doing so someday.

Michael Snydr of the Economic Collapse Blog writes:

I am not afraid of an economic collapse.  Coming from someone that runs “The Economic Collapse Blog”, I am sure that sounds like a very odd statement.  But it is true.  I have no fear of economic collapse, even though I am fully convinced that the hardest times that any of us have ever experienced are ahead.  I spend countless numbers of hours in front of my computer immersed in deeply disturbing information, and yet I sleep more soundly at night than I ever have before.  In fact, my wife and I seek to live in a constant state of “shalom”, which is the Hebrew word for peace.  So how is this possible?  How can “the economic collapse guy” not be absolutely overwhelmed by fear, depression and paranoia?

Unlike so many that write about these things, I believe that preparation for what is ahead goes far beyond the physical.  So I am constantly stressing the need for mental, emotional and especially spiritual preparation.  Personally, I have absolutely no idea how atheists are going to make it through what is coming.  They don’t understand why they are here, they don’t understand why history is unfolding the way that it is, and they have absolutely no hope for the future beyond this life.  If you greatly fear death and you can’t stand to lose the possessions that you have accumulated, the years ahead are going to be exceedingly difficult for you.

My relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ gives my life meaning and purpose.  He took the broken pieces of my life and turned them into a beautiful thing, and He can do the same for you.

I also strongly advocate physical preparation for the hard years that are coming.  My wife and I work very hard to store up food and supplies.  The funny thing is that there are Christians out there that actually accuse me of being “anti-faith” for doing these things.  Apparently they believe that we should all just sit around watching television while we wait for God to do everything for us.

But that isn’t how it works.  In the Bible, we see that exercising faith almost always involves action.  Noah, Joseph and others acted in faith based on the warnings that they had received, and they were commended for it.

Are we acting on the warnings that we have received?  For much more on this subject, please see my previous article entitled “Is It “Anti-Faith” To Prepare For The Coming Economic Collapse?

Knowledge and preparation help to eliminate fear.  If you understand what is happening, and you know why it is happening, and you have prepared for what is happening, it makes the challenges that are ahead of you easier to tackle.

When you were in school, who got the most freaked out by quizzes and tests?

It was those that were not prepared for them of course.

In the years ahead, a lot of people are going to be jumping off of buildings, jumping in front of trains, etc.  Others will plunge into a dark hole of depression and despair that they will never come back from.

The vast majority of those people will have never listened to the warnings and will have done nothing to get prepared.

Those that accuse me and others like me of “spreading fear” have got it completely backwards.

Although I will admit that sometimes preppers are prone to a “bunker mentality”, and that is not the right approach.

Now is not the time to dig a hole and try to hide from the world.

You were born for such a time as this.  It is when times are the darkest that the greatest heroes are needed.  Personally, my wife and I believe that the greatest move of God the world has ever seen is coming, and we very much want to be part of it.

Yes, the years ahead are going to be extremely challenging.  In fact, I don’t think that any of us can truly grasp the horror that is coming because we don’t really have any frame of reference for it.

It is kind of like trying to explain to someone that was blind from birth what a tree looks like.  You can spend hours describing the tree, but unless you have some sort of frame of reference, the understanding simply is not going to be there.

Sometimes I try to sit down and write about what is ahead of us, but I find that words fail me.  For example, I recently did a piece entitled “The Last Days Of Normal Life In America” that was very popular, but the truth is that it was woefully inadequate because I don’t really have a good frame of reference for what we are about to face.  I don’t know that too many people out there actually do.

As “watchmen on the wall”, those of us that are trying to warn this nation are just trying to do the best that we can with what we have.

And we aren’t just sitting behind our computers “cursing the darkness” either.

A few of my fellow “watchmen” have joined with me to try to do something special.  Nathan Leal, Benjamin Baruch, Lyn Leahz and I have organized a nationwide call to prayer and repentance on the weekend of September 18th to September 20th.  It is going to be held at the Sandpoint Events Center in Sandpoint, Idaho, and we already know of people coming in from nine different states and Canada for this event.

In addition, similar gatherings are being organized all around the nation, and thousands that cannot attend an event in person are going to be able to participate by watching the livestream on Lyn Leahz’s 69,000 subscriber YouTube channel.

In the end, there is a limit to what each one of us can do individually, but if we work together we can collectively make a great difference.

Now is not a time for fear.  Perfect love casts out fear.  This is a time for the Remnant to rise up and to spread a message of hope even in the midst of all the chaos and darkness that is coming.

Yes, the times ahead are going to be more chaotic that any of us could probably imagine right now.  But let us reject all fear, depression and despair, and let us endeavor to become people of great faith, great hope and great love.

  • NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

    • it will at some point. just a matter of when.

    • DK

It did Chinas economy crashed, all the smart money left at the market peak last month and the Plunge Protection Team bought up 7% – the entire market drop each day, you were asleep and missed it, like all the other sheepie reality just passed you by.

 Wow minus marks I am so honored to be in the company of the Moo Cow and The King

At least “The Watcher” is consistent in his belief in this current system. He is probably in the 98th percentile who have total trust in our government and their ability to kick the can down the road for another 30 years without any negative ramifications. I sometimes wish I could be that ignorant about events going on around us.

  • It can happen at every moment, But I think the following to be the most expectable run of things:
At a moment when even on BiN nothing is told about a coming collapse, it shall come, like a thief in the night, to do maximum harm to the ordinary people. BOOM!
    My advice:
Remember it is all abourt MONEY. But wealth, value, possession is not just money. Turn your surplus money into things which will keep their value even if the Dollar or Euro completely loses its value as a currency and you will have a chance to survive, and even to thrive, during the Depression that will surely come.
All USABLE AND USEFUL ITEMS you own at the moment of collapse will keep their value in daily life i.e. in REALITY. Either you can use them, you dont have to buy them, this means you need less money to live, or you can barter them to get other things you need, or sell them.
ARABLE LAND will keep its value, and will keep you alive by the harvests you reap. It it the very best investment for the coming Depression. It will be better than gold – at least for anyone whose health and character is still untainted enough to do a minifarmer´s job. Snobs, wimps and “princesses” will fail here. So will everyone who “looks at his watch during working” i.e. greedily awaits the end of working time. If you prove unable to learn to enjoy your work and to do it with dedication no matter which job it is, you have NO chance as a minifarmer.
A HOUSE will keep its value, and an old one which still has a chimney and a stove – you will get one in Germany for a song, because of the irrational wish of the vast majority to live in or near the big cities, hah hah – will be better than a modern house entirely dependent on the grid. But to keep a house in a good state you must have much the same personal characteristics as those who do minifarming with success.

Thus, the most important investment is that in your own personal and physical “fitness”.

Learn as many self-reliance skills as you can.

some of the readers here will have to start at zero ,
    and this means:
learn to cook with the aim of making a soup or another cheap and wholesome meal out of “almost nothing”.
Our grandmothers still did this every day and it was as normal to most of them to do so as was breathing… they were happy with such meals and didnt wish for more.
    Again, a barrier for Snobs.
But an invitation for all who grew up in poverty – you are well prepared if your youth in poverty meant only a material state and not a mental and spiritual one ;-) !

Those who passed this first-year test may learn to forage for wild herbs, veggies and berries, it is rather easy…
and it will give you your naturaly sanity back which is gone once you take the Globalist Disneyland for reality.

And they surely will also wish to learn how to conserve food, by drying, canning, making jam, making sauerkraut, and similar techniques. Go to your grandmothers, have them teach you, they still know all about this subject.

If you do all these three things as a part of your normal life, habitually, life itself will show you that it is not expensive to live as a human being; in fact, to fulfil all basic human needs is not much more expensive than keep a German Shepherd´s dog happy and fit. once you know that from experience, a lot of today´s Lebensangst will leave you. Your mind will be freeer for things that give more fun and make more sense than running after things and money. Generally, the less material things you crave, the freer you are. This is why Monks and Nuns choose voluntary poverty. It is not a self-punishment but a path to happiness.

Reader, you must understand this, and tell it to everyone, it is the base of ideological resilience during Depression:
    money is just a tool,
handling and using money is nothing more than a 2.0 version of bartering
which is a very subjective interaction between two or several human beings with all those human whims.
    Therefore,
    to confound
    the monetary value of things
    with their real value
is the fundamental mistake that our modern societies make
and one of the main reasons for the reign of irrationality and irresponsibility today.
This error of view creates a vile pseudo-reality,
a Wonderland for a humankind of smartphone-addicted Alices
but a Hell for all people who prefer the true reality.
    This pseudo-reality is so jealous
that it seems to wish to extinct all persons who refuse to accept and share it.
Perhaps even all the poor innocent Tribal peoples
whom our ancestors killed, mistreated and expropriated
were in fact victims of this jealousy.
Money is more jealous as old Jahweh,
but if you put yourself on a higher ground and resist its blackmail and lure, knowing reality better,
it will prove to be less powerful than expected and leave you in peace at last,
for Mammon is NOT a Deity,
    but – remember – only a tool.

    • thank you for writing that, and i would let you know, even though it was in my head, i could never put into words like you did. “only a tool”, most i think may never what you mean by that, and it makes my heart sad to say that, but i feel it is the truth. what i feel now everyday are in those words, this is the only way i know to have people understand what is in my heart, i hope you dont mind. one group of words come to mind now from all my years on this earth that i would share now with everyone that might read it, “treat others as you would have them treat you”, this is very profound i think and has a very deep meaning. if the masses on this blue marble we call earth read those words and applied them in their life, things, i think, would not be the way they currently are. peace!
