Breaking: Charlotte police HQ evacuated after suspicious package found | 27 Sept 2016 | The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) headquarters in uptown Charlotte was evacuated after a suspicious package was found Tuesday afternoon. The evacuation began around 4:30 p.m. Officials have not released many details, but tweeted that the evacuation came after a suspicious package was found…WBTV crews were there as a vehicle with the Bomb Squad arrived at the scene.
