Trump Issues Letter to Congress Explaining Syrian Strikes as ‘Vital to National Security Interests’

As we drop white phosphorus munitions in Mosul, trying to displace ISIS in Iraq, Trump tried to explain to Congress why taking unilateral action against Syria, by ferrying 59 cruise missiles into a forward airbase that was used to fend off terrorists attempting to displace a secular regime with head cutting religious zealots, was important. He did so by describing the actions as ‘vital to national security interests.’ While conditions in Syria are certainly deleterious to the people of Syria and countries dealing with the refugee crisis, last I checked America was insolated from the events happening in and around Damascus.
