Believe it or not, Blizzard has announced that it won’t be holding a Blizzcon event this year because of a “jam pack schedule.” However, the event will return in 2013.
Blizzcon is an annual convention held by Blizzard to showcase their upcoming games to thousands of fans. This year’s event would have showcased titles like StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Diablo III, Titan, and more. Unfortunately, fans will bear witness only to the second Blizzcon blackout since the first one in 2006.
Fortunately, Blizzard still has one event saved for 2012. That event is the 2012 Battle.net World Championship, a StarCraft II tournament that will be held in Asia toward the end of the year.
Still it is a shame that 2012 will see no Blizzcon.
