(Before It's News)

We have written earlier about Google India’s new initiatives called ‘How to go Mo’ and ‘Let’s Talk Mo’. The new initiative seeks to get Indian businesses, especially the SMB and SME ones to embrace the growing mobile Internet ecosystem in India. Besides giving businesses an opportunity to make their own mobile website by using the website emulator and providing customisation options in addition to letting them use it free for a year, Google also has some vendors that they list who could help these businesses further by devising and executing a mobile strategy for them.

Three of these vendors featured on the Let’s Talk Mo initiative are Indian startups and this marks the first time that Google has associated itself with Indian startups and thus promote their services. These 3 startups are Mobstac, Mobsters and Mobivite who are all Digital agencies which work on mobile technology to give customised solutions to their clients. It seems they had to go through a rigorous testing process to be picked up by Google for this initiative. This in itself is a big win for these companies and it also marks the rise of the idea of an Indian startup in the mobile segment. We are seeing many startups attempting to solve India’s complex problems when it comes to the latest technology and this is a healthy trend. We have a lot of engineering talent in the country and this talent should go towards building up the Indian mobile or desktop web.

Mobile is the newest frontier which needs to be explored. Many are claiming that ‘desktop Internet’ is dead. I disagree with the fact that laptops are going anywhere but yes, there is an evolution happening right now and tablets will merge with laptops in a way that Microsoft and Asus have imagined with Surface and Transformer respectively. Being mobile ready is what every business needs to be.

You can find out more about those 3 startups here.
