RIM has certainly had a rough couple of years. Of course, some would say the writing was on the wall after a certain phone debuted in 2007 with subsequent years seeing RIM’s (then) co-CEOs brushing off legitimate competition from Apple as well as the entire Android camp. Such an attitude has, as we’ve seen, cost the company dearly in the consumer sector. But BlackBerry 10 is RIM’s rallying cry; their final shot if you will.
Today, RIM has finally given us a date to look forward to for BlackBerry 10 instead of constantly shifting quarters/months – January 30th. On this date RIM will formerly unveil BlackBerry 10 to the world “simultaneously in multiple countries around the world” and give us an in-depth look at their all-new OS, and we’d hope, pricing and actual shipment dates of hardware too.
Excited, BlackBerry fans?
