My Mayor´s Got a Heart…Like a Rock Cast in the Sea
It used to be that when people asked me whether I was a Democrat or a Republican I would answer that whatever that mayor of NYC currently was, put me down for the opposite. You see we were always supposed to think that he was a really enlightened and superior new kind of politician, who freely demonstrated the falseness of the left-right dialectic by being ´in between´ or both or whatever. Yuck.
I didn´t like him. His fanatical anti-life stance. Coming up with new ways to squash the smallest pockets of pro-life sentiment. Pro-life clinic in the Bronx where most pregnancies end in abortion couldn´t offer free ultrasounds. You know that´s not ´comprehensive women´s care.´ Yuck. I hate their devilish double speak. There is more there too…One nice thing about not having comments is I don´t have to hear from ´choice´ advocates on here, as far as I can tell they were slimey men who rationalise their will to use who they want with no responsibilities. Really this guy came sliming up here once asking me to ´enlighten´ him on some anti life stuff from the current executive administration. I hate that insincere tone. Ok, off topic.
Anyway, who wants to be a billionaire? He says his plan B is better than our plan A. But what can you do with money? Eat it? Take it with you to the afterlife? I was at the hospital this morning and I saw the cutest little boy who had some serious disabilities who was being cared for by his grandma I think. That´s better use of your time than trading bonds right? Who wants to be a man? I don´t care when they talk about men achieving this or that and you could if you were a man so become an activist to stop women from being ´failures.´ Who wants to be a winner who constantly wins? Don´t you more want to give love? What kind of peace and fulillment comes from trying to win, which is his aim in a bigger way, I believe, at the expense of innocent life? I don´t believe Richard Dawkins, that we are dupes to our genes or something, that care has no meaning outside of slavery to a genetic will to self-perpetuate. I only want to give love to my children, I want all children to be loved. To me that is more fundamental than reason, definitely the most basic expression of my life. I don´t want to be a man at all, definitely want to be a mother, I feel more useful. A lot more useful than a bond trader.
You know King Herod didn´t need to give it the hard sell, the slaughter of the innocents, he could have just called it ´Comprehensive Women´s Care.´
