Bowe Bergdahl Trade Secrets

Ok so it takes a lot to get me annoyed but it seems it happens more often as I get older. I tend to feel that Americans are less caring, less educated about their surroundings and certainly worse drivers. Not that any of these things are remotely related, they just need to be said before I begin my rant about the release of Bowe Bergdahl. Please keep in mind you and I may never know then true story behind who Bowe is or even why he was traded but I think we need to at the very least ask ourselves what is going on in our country?”

Lets just take a look at the Bowe Bergdahl trade and why it concerns me.

  • In secret our president makes a deal with the Taliban and doesn’t notify our congress. (seems very odd that after 5 years of captivity that there was so much urgency that he couldn’t discuss this move with other people)

  • A press conference is scheduled to announce that we got back all of our soldiers form the war. (political gain?, I think so)

  • Beau’s parents give a very unusual press conference and speak about “things that happened behind the scene”. (what where these “things”)

  • We trade 5, not 1 but 5 top Taliban men for just one American solider. (who thinks thats a good deal or that there wasn’t another way to go ab out his release?)

  • Hey did you miss the part where “OUR GOVERNMENT IS TALING TO THE TALIBAN?” (I have been told over and over that we do not negotiate with terrorist groups)

I don’t want to imply the Taliban thugs are more valuable than our soldiers because they are not. I feel every one of our soldiers are worth more than all of the Taliban put together but what kind of negotiation skills have we exhibited with this trade? Thank God our government doesn’t buy cars the way they negotiate because they would make payments forever on that extended warranty that covered nothing on the Yugo they bought with a salvage title.

Listen to what  Thomas Joscelyn a senior editor at the Long War Journal said about the Taliban people who were released, “They are undoubtedly among the most dangerous Taliban commanders held at Guantanamo” No matter who you are, this is a very unsettling statement. I want to remind you one more time that as a proud American I feel the value of one American soldier far out weighs all of the Taliban fighters put together, but don’t let them cover up what they did by making you feel like less of an American by comparing value of people. The problem is that we SHOULD be better at getting our soldiers back and to do a trade like this shows how weak we really are. Maybe the question is that we are really better negotiators but this trade is because our government wanted these Taliban leaders back in the field? Did we want these guys back in the field for another reason that they are not sharing with us?

Bowe Bergdauhl was held in a know location that other prisoners were kept in the past. We knew where it was and we should have been able to get him out. Lets not forget that we were able to fly helicopters in Pakistan and kill Osama Bin Laden in the middle of the night but we couldn’t get our soldier out of harms way in the mountains of Afghanistan, knowing where he was after 5 years? Really? Sorry but this whole thing smells fishy to me.

Lets look at those guys that got release back to the Taliban so they can attack more Americans.

Trade #1 – Muhammad a Fazi Huge was listed as a great threat to the USA (click here to read his confidential back ground)

Trade #2 – Abdul Haq Wasiq was listed as a great threat to the USA and tied to several radical groups (click here to read his confidential background)

Trade #3  – Khair Ulla Said Wali – senior Taliban official (click here to read his confidential background)

Trade #4 – Mohammed Nabi – senior Taliban official with connections to several anti-coalition militia groups (click here to read his confidential background)

Ok so I only listed 4 of the 5 but isn’t this enough? Do you actually think that the other guy is any nicer?

Come on America can’t you see there is a problems here? I write this blog not to sell products and not to get to get you to visit our site more. I write this blog because I am upset and you should be too. I want to speak up and not ignore what’s going on. I want to question things that don’t seem right and I want answers.

Here is the question that every American should be asking:

“WHY DOES OUR GOVERNMENT WANT THESE TERRORISTS BACK IN THE FIELD TO ATTACK AMERICA?

Each and every day our government and those who (make decisions for us) are making very questionable moves that don’t appear to be in the best interest of the American people.

Sometimes I think my distrust of elected officials stems from my advancing age but then I try to compare myself to the older generation I was around when I was a kid. Sure they all complained as older people do, but they always had a deep pride in America and what it stood for but they never wavered that America was the best country in the world. I can’t count how many times they would say something negative about America but then would always follow up with “there still is no other place they would rather live” and America was the “best country in the world”. Do you really believe that America is the greatest country in the world still? Don’t get me wrong, I love America but I think we have slipped and we are never going to get that stature back by ignoring what’s wrong with America.

No I am not happy with the direction of America. I am not happy with the ignorance of Americans. I am not happy that Americans are so f***ing lazy that they have to buy crabmeat in a container instead of cracking that crab and digging it out and actually doing some work for what they eat. If we really have become that lazy then our hopes of beating the terrorists is looking very bleak. We are also too lazy to get out of our cars so we go through drive thru’s and let people hand us food through our window instead of making our own breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are so lazy that we can’t park in the far section of the parking lot because we don’t want to have to walk so we circle the parking lot until someone gives us that prized spot up front. We are so lazy that we buy pre-chopped salads, pre-seasoned meats, we buy robot vacuum cleaners, we use drive through car washes and I could go on but I think you get the picture.

Yup, there are millions of people starving in the world and yet we are so fat that we have to buy two plane tickets to fly on an airplane and we call it a disability. Have you ever noticed that most of those “handicapped” spots at Wal-Mart are filled with obese people who have eaten their way into that electric scooter? I may have upset you too now but if that’s the case then I made you at least think about things which is more than most Americans have bothered to do in a very long time! It’s not just about Beau, it‘s about who we are as a nation and more importantly what we are loosing as a country. If you like what I said or if you disagree, please leave your comments.
