A large area of Oklahoma through this evening into some of tonight will have the dynamics capable of large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes.
Currently, expecting storms to form along the main surface boundary in West/Southwest Oklahoma into Northwest TX between Childress and Wichita Falls … which will be the main group of storms that would congeal into a line of storms through the rest of the watch area northeast/east from where they formed, covering Oklahoma City down into Ardmore as well.
Another group may form along the warm front in Southern Oklahoma this evening. This group would form in an environment conductive of isolated tornado potential thus this area is the spot for a tornado if severe storms were to form this evening …
Regardless, the entire watch area will have severe storm capabilities …
A stationary front across Arkansas eastward through Southwest TN into Northern MS/AL and into parts of Georgia will be the focus spot for severe thunderstorms capable of damaging winds and large hail through today. Already isolated cells have produced large hail across the Little Rock, AR forecast areas, but the storms will magnify in intensity and coverage and Little Rock will be hit again later with a stronger line moving along the orientation of this watch box … additional groups of severe storms will be expected across the entire watch area.
Tornadoes can and do often form with any severe thunderstorms …
